We went to Montana!

So we finally went on a family vacation! We took a whole week off to go to our family cabin in Troy, Montana. We decided to drive the 9 1/2 hour drive on saturday morning ( 30th of August ) and the adventure began!

The drive with both girls actually went really well Gracie had a great time doing her preschool work and Faith just slept! Note: if you are going on a long roadtrip with young kids have a bunch of little gifts to give them everytime they get out of the car and for not whining on the trip! It works great! :)

Montana was so great! I love it there!! It is so relaxing and quiet. Our cabin is located right on a lake called Savage Lake. All we did was fish and play in the water. Gracie had the most fun. She caught the most fish and when she wasn't fishing she was playing in the water! Who knew she was so outdoorsy!! I had a blast just watching her enjoy herself, it reminded me of when I was her age.

We also went to Montana to visit my Grandma and Aunt who live in Hamilton, Montana. It took us about 4 hours to get there from the cabin, but it was a beautiful drive! My Aunt Carol lives on 40 acres of mountain and again it was beautiful! Did I mention that I love it in Montana? :) I could never live there because I need my Target and Nordstrom!! But I love going there!

It was so nice to get away and spend time with the family! At my Aunts Gracie got to feed wild Turkeys and their 18 babies! So cute but at the sametime ugly. And in the morning before we left to head back home ( 12 hour drive!! ) Gracie saw my Aunts morning visitors a momma deer, her little fawn and the rest of the deer family! It was so fun, my Aunt feeds them every morning and they don't mind us watching them through the kitchen window.

We plan on going again and making it a yearly family trip! Until then enjoy some pictures!
